Three guidelines:
Grade the task, not the material
Task first - then recording
Process rather than product!
To-do's when leading a istening work in class
Keep it short
Play the recording sufficient enough times
Let the students discuss
Don't immediately acknowledge a correct answers
Don't be led by one student
Aim to get the students to agree together w/o your help
Play little bits of the recording until it's clear
Give help when stuck
Consider giving the students control of the recording
Don't cheat on them by changing your requirements
Don't let them lose heart.
