Thalamus: The thalamus is mostly gray matter structure of the diencephalon. Each part of the thalamus serve a unique role, ranging from relaying sensory and motor signals and also as the regulation consciousness and alertness.
Spinal cord: The spinal cord is a long tule-like band of tissue, it connects your Brain to your lower back. Your spinal cord carries nerve signals from your Brain to your body and vice versa. This nerve signals help you feel sensations and with movement in your body.
