Exposition: You made a promise to your friend that you would give them the best birthday ever. They want to go to the movies, but you don't really want to. What should you do? Theme: You should finish what you started.

Section 2: Bail on your friend. You REALLY don't want to go to the movies.

Section 3: The two of you get to the movies. You promised your friend that you would watch a rom-com, but now that you're here, you want to watch an action film. What do you watch?

Rom-com. You made a promise and you should keep it.

Action. You already didn't want to come, why make yourself watch something you don't want to?

Section 4: Your friend calls you, frantic. They must've been waiting for you to show up and are now worried. What do you do?

Don't answer them, that'll teach them not to be boring.

Answer them and relieve their worries.

Section 5: The two of you decide to watch a rom-com, and you're left on your own as they go to the bathroom. What do you do?

Your friend is obviously disappointed. You had promised that the two of you would do whatever they want to do, but you went back on your promise. The day out ends early, and the two of you don't talk the whole weekend.

Leave them. You really don't want to watch a rom-com.

Buy some snacks for you and your friend.

Your friend is so worried that they end up calling your parents to make sure that you're okay. Your parents come into your room and express their deep disappointment.

Section 9: You're looking at the selection, and you have to decide whether to get something that you like, but you don't know if they like, or get something that they like but that you don't like.

Get something that they like. You stick to making this the best birthday they've ever had.

Get something that they don't like. Why should you be punished just because it's their birthday?

Your friend is disappointed and is clearly not having a good time. After the movie, they find an excuse to end the day early. You decide to buy them their favorite candy as a gift for Monday.

Your friend looks for you the whole movie, and eventually leaves to go home. When you get home, your parents already know the situation and demand that you apologize.

You explain that you didn't want to go to a movie today. Your friend is sad, and nothing that you say can cheer them up. They abruptly hang up, nearly in tears. The two of you don't talk for the rest of the weekend.

Section 7: They tell you that you have to make up with your friend, and the best way is to take them to get something to eat. What will you do?

Take your friend to a restaurant known for food poisoning.

Take your friend to their favorite restaurant.

Section 8: On Monday your friend is sitting with the friend group. As soon as they see you, two of them drag you aside and tell you that you have to do something really nice to make it up to your friend. What will you do?

Ending 1:The two of you have a really good time and become best friends. Everybody really appreciates what you did for your friend. You did good on your promise and you finished what you started.

The two of you are having a great time. They're finally beginning to forgive you, and it seems like they're having a terrific time.

Section 11: As the meal comes to an end, you look into your wallet and discover that you only have enough money to pay for one of your meals. Whose meal will you pay for?

Pay for your friend's. You've already caused them enough trouble and the two of you's friendship is finally beginning to get back on track.

Pay for your own. You've already done so much for them, and they should've known better than to trust you to have enough money.

You explain the situation to the owner and the two of you agree that you'll work to make up the cost. Your friend and you have a good time until you have to start working.

Ending 9: You begin working, and you do so well that you have a permanent job there. Your friend eventually forgives and and your friendship is stronger than ever. You made some bad decisions, but you made up for it pretty well.

Your friend is rightfully angry, and they leave the restaurant anyways, saying that it's your problem. You explain to the owner and you two decide that you'll work to pay for your friend's balance.

Ending 8: You work for the rest of the week. Your friend stops talking to you and the rest of your friends don't like you as much. You eventually earn a job at the restaurant, and give your former friend a free meal every time they eat there.

Your friend orders a chicken salad, while you order a normal one, to avoid the bad meat. You make no attempt at conversation, and you can tell that they're having a terrible time. Your friend starts to complain of a sick stomach and they leave early. They go to the doctor and discover that they have food poisoning.

Ending 10: Your parents hear, and they confront you, knowing what you did. They ground you and make your work to pay off your former friend's medical bills. Nobody ever trusts you again.

Abandon the friendship. This is way too much work for you. You want an effortless friendship.

Ending 7: The rest of your friends like you a lot less, and all of the group outings are incredibly awkward. Everyone thinks that you're a slightly terrible person for breaking your promise and being so rude.

Section 6: Your friend doesn't forgive you, but is willing to make amends. You offer them to make it up to them. They agree to let you try. What do you do?

Take them grocery shopping with you.

Section 12: They're disappointed and a little confused by the choice of outing, but agree to go with you. When the day comes up, you have a choice to make. What will you do?

Stick to your plan. You need to buy groceries.

Take them to back to the movies, and this time watch a rom-com.

The two of you walk around and shop for 2 full hours, with not a single word exchanged. After you part, your phone starts blowing up with texts from the rest of your friend group asking why you'd take someone grocery shopping.

Ending 6: Everyone at school treats you like a laughing stock now, but at least you're not completely alone, as the other made-fun-of kids stick with you.

The time of you have a really fun time, and you wonder why you didn't want to watch this movie before.

Ending 5: You now have a new favorite genre, and your friend and you always watch new rom-coms together. They still tease you about taking them to an action movie, but your friendship is stronger than before now.

Section 10: You call your friend and they're willing to listen. What will you tell them?

Lie. Tell them that you were sick and that you needed to leave immediately.

Tell them the truth, they deserve to know.

They believe you and you skip the following Monday to continue the lie, and everyone feels bad for you when you come back from the fake illness.

Ending 4: You're off scotch free, but you feel incredibly guilty. You try to make up for the lie in anyway possible, but it's never enough for your conscience.

Section 13: As you're look at the selection, you need to decide whether to buy a bulk pack or a 5 pack. What will you do?

Buy the bulk pack, they deserve it.

You give your friend the candy and they're delighted.

Ending 2: You've made up with your friend and everyone thinks that you're a good friend. You were a little rude to your friend, but you ended up making up for it and mostly keeping your promise.

Ending 3: You're friend appreciates the candy, but you know that you could've done better. You feel guilty every time that you see that candy.
