Scrotum: bag of skin that holds and helps to protect the testicles
Spermatic Cord: carries sperm out of the testicle
Epididymis: carries and stores sperm cells
Prostate Gland: produce seminal fluid
Testes: making sperm & production of testosterone
Bulbourethral Glands: add fluids to semen during the process of ejaculation
Penis: urination and sexual intercourse
Seminal Vesicles: produce the ingredients for semen
Anatomy of female reproductive structures
Fallopian Tubes: serve as pathways for the ova to travel from the ovaries to the uterus
Cervix: the door to the uterus which sperm can travel through to fertilize eggs
Uterus: nourish and house a fertilized egg
Ovary: produce the egg cells, called the ova
Vagina: penis is inserted during sexual intercourse
Hormones of the reproductive system
Female: Follicle-stimulating hormone, Luteinizing hormone, Estrogen, and Progesterone
Male: Follicle-stimulating hormone, Luteinizing hormone and Testosterone

Follicular Phase: the release of the egg
Menstruation: Ovarian hormones are at lowest levels
Ovulation: release of a mature egg from the surface of the ovary
Luteal Phase: Endometrium prepares for embryo implant

Vasectomy: Keeps sperm out of ejaculated semen
Tubal Ligation: Eggs are blocked from meeting sperm
Condoms: Forms a barrier to prevent sperm and egg from meeting
