All students are on tier 1
Constantly being monitored by teacher
struggling students are placed on tier 2
more interventions from the teacher
oral and written instruction, use of visual cues
use manipulatives or money, give them extra time
remedial instruction or extra tutoring
teach more to their strengths
develop individual goals for them to meet;

If these interventions return them to standards, they are placed back at tier 1
If the student is still struggling, they are placed on tier 3
An intervention teacher is introduced
intervention teacher gives student one-one-one instruction using many of the same techniques as tier 2
