      - Impulses are sent along the sensory neuron
      - In CNS impulses are passed to the relay neuron
      - Impulses are sent along a motor neuron to an effector
    - - When an impulse reaches the end of the first neuron a chemical is released into the synapse and it diffuses across to the other end and triggers to same impulse in the other neuron
- - - - If glucose levels decrease the pancreas produces glucagon which binds to liver cells, causing glycogen to be broken down into glucose which is released into the blood
- - - - Receptors - Cells that detect stimuli
      - Coordination centres - Processes information from receptors (e.g. brain, spinal cord, pancreas)
      - Effectors - bring the response to bring the body back to normal conditions (e.g. muscle, gland)
- - - - The plant is exposed to light on one side
      - Auxin is produced on the shaded side of the plant
      - Auxin stimulates cell growth so the plant bends towards the light to receive more light for photosynthesis
  - - - Auxin moves to the lower side
      - The cells of the shoot grow more on the side of auxin so the shoot bends and grows away from the ground
    - - Auxin moves to the lower side
      - The plant cells grow less on the side with less auxin
      - So the plant has stimulate growth on the upper side which makes the root bend and grow downwards
      - Beneficial for minerals and water levels
  - - - Put cotton wool into three petri dishes and give them a fixed volume of water
        
        Add 10 seeds to each dish and put them somewhere warm where they wont be disturbed
        
        Allow seeds to germinate
        
        Remove any extra seeds if needed
        
        Put one petri dish in full sunlight, one in partial light and one in complete darkness
        
        Every day for one week measure the height of the seedings an record them on a table
        
        Calculate the mean height of the seedlings and compare the height in different locations
