Infinitive
In grammar, the infinitive is a non-finite verb form that shows characteristics of a noun and lacks some of the typical features of a verb.
The infinitive can be used as a noun. As a noun it can be the subject or object of the verb. To find fault is easy. (Here the infinitive 'to find' is the subject of the verb is.)

Gerunds
A gerund is the noun form of a verb that ends in -ing.
Gerunds can be used after certain verbs including enjoy, fancy, discuss, dislike, finish, mind, suggest, recommend, keep, and avoid. After prepositions of place and time. I made dinner before getting home.
