Despite the solid evidence, the trial went against Tom Robinson, and at first, a lot of verdicts thought he is guilty
In the trial, Atticus Finch and Sheriff Tate have fierce quarrel about Tom Robinson’s crime against Mayella Ewell. They argued Mayella was hit the right side of her face, and Tom Robinson is left-handed, so it is impossible to hit Mayella.
Tom Robinson was accused of raping a white woman called Mayella Ewell, the daughter of Bob Ewell.
The Tom Robinson trial made Tom Robinson himself feel victimized, and also unfairness to the court.
His purpose was to help to Mayella, but beacuse of her misunderstanding, and he went to court, and everybody decided he is guilty.
Scout learns about equality when his father teaches her that all people are equal, and should be respected.

He was convicted that he murdered the man named Walter Smith on 2002
The accuser accused him by showing evidence of baseball equipment such as cap and bat, which requires scientific testing
However, the scientific testing shows that it does not match with his DNA, so he become innocent, but he had spent 13 years in prison, which made him very stressful, and finally passed away

He was accused because of raping a woman at the time that he was still a student
He was preparing for become a football player, but because of unexpected accuse, his dream almost come to nothing
However, the accuser later recorded that this raping was consensual, and this event was made up by her
Scottsboro Boys
Nine African-American teenagers were accused for raping two white women in Alabama
The doctor, however, realized two women don't have specific evidence for being raped, but these boys still sent to jail
After most of boys are sentenced to death, one of women, Ruby Bates told it was lying for protecting themselves

Equality
: the idea of being "equal" and "even"
Kareem Johnson's spending most of his life in prison compared to white prisoners shows inequality between racism
Brian Banks' accused by raping was actually consensual and made up, which shows inequality for unexpected accusing
Atticus Finch's teaching about equality to Scott made townspeople think all people are equal, and only actions makes them different, therefore equality should be exist in town
Equity
: the idea of being "fair" and "impartial"
Scottsboro boys' unexpected trial without specific evidence shows unfairness in the society
In Tom Robinson's trial, Sheriff Tate's argument of Mayella is hit by right hand shows unfair arguing without expert evidence
Prisoners who already finished their imprisonment, and who were not convicted have difficulties to get new job which shows unfairness with stereotype
