Morality involves feeling, which includes empathy and guilt (Hoffman, 2000). Morality also involves reasoning, which includes the ability to understand rules, distinguish right from wrong, and take another person’s perspective (Kohlberg, 1976; Piaget, 1965; Selman, 1980). Finally, morality involves behaving, which includes prosocial and antisocial acts (Eisenberg et al., 2006), as well as self-regulation of impulses.
