Belly Breathing :<3:

notice how your tummy grows bigger as you breathe in, and smaller as you breathe out
imagine belly is a balloon
when you breathe in, imagine that balloon getting bigger
when you breathe out, imagine balloon getting smaller
Noticing body sensation :<3:
After physically demanding games
As kid to stop, and feel the heart beating very fast
Show where the heart is in a person, then put hands there to feel it beating
Ask kid to put finger under the nostrils
Notice the air coming in and out
See how fast or slow it is
Then jump like crazy
Stop
Finger under nostrils to see if that has changed
Imagine your favourite person / toy giving you a warm warm hug. How is it that you feel? Then imagine a mean person talking to you, how do you feel?
Aware of things around us :<3:
Pause what you are doing, listen with your ears. What sounds do you hear?
Look outside of your windows, what are the colours that you see?
Imagine your nose getting bigger, what are the smells that you can smell right now?
Do this when you are in different places and come back and let me know

Hugging your favourite toy, give it a big big hug
Then take 3 slow breaths in together
Now put your shoulders up as high as possible, make your shoulders really really tight. Then now just let it go
Best to practice with a parent to breathe in together
Self acceptance :<3:
Find a picture of yourself (or system shows a picture of the child)
Ask the child to look at him/herself and tell the picture how you feel.. or what troubles you.. what has been great about your day? Give yourself some encouragement.. tell yourself that you love yourself

Scientists found out that brain is like a muscle, as you use it more, the stronger it becomes. Remember when you first learn how to write... Handwriting was not as good.
Exercise: try using your non-dominant hand to write. See how your handwriting is like. But as you practice, see how it becomes
Next time there is a challenge, use it to exercise your brain!!
