Davids Family:
Emily: Emily Strorm: David's mother, is scared of her husband Joseph but still cares for David even though Joseph does not like David.
Aunt Harriett: Emily's sister who got kicked out by Joseph after asking Emily to commit a "Sin". Emily felt bad for her sister, Hariett later on kills herself over the problem (her child was a muatnt).

Joseph: Joseph Strorm: David's Father is very religious and strict on God's "true image" and what the "norm" is. David and his father are not close. David disagrees with what his father thinks and does to deviations, mutants, etc. David is keeping that he is telepathic from his father as it is a deviation and Davids is scared of what his father will do.

Old people: People who lived on earth before the tribulation. Joseph and Waknuk try their best to live the way the Old people used to by following the repentance, etc, live to gain God back to avoid going through their own tribulation.
Uncle Axel: "If the way the Old people lives caused tribulation, then why do/should we act the way they did".

Mary: Mary Strorm: David's Kinder older sister who watches out for him. Mary told David to never tell anyone that he is Telepathic to protect him from Waknuk finding out hes not "normal".

Uncle Axel: Davids uncle who knows he's telepathic and gives him advice and have deep convos- like a best friend
Rosalind: Uncle Axels daughter is "Dating" her half cousin, David. Both David and Rosalind are Telepathic.

Sophie: A mutant with 6 toes, and was David's best friend, she and her family had to flee to risk not being caught by normal people

Old maggie and hairy Jack- The “Boogiemen” of Waknuk who are the scariest mutants. Davids parents tell him what their own parents used to say about these two mutants.
Others:
Old Jacob: David is scared of what Jacobs views on deviations. Jacob also thinks that the government is too soft/nice towards people. The government is not harsh on people who are sinful and do not report offences, they only get fined a small amount of money. He tells David that deviations should be burned like they did when he was younger.
Inspector: Was nice to David when asking him about Sophie when Alan reported David to be hanging out with a mutant.
