Role of Representatives
Basically to just tell others what a group of people want because if all 38.01 million people in Canada (counting children) just came and said what they wanted, it would be a hot mess.
When they are elected, they are expected to talk about the interest's the people they are representing, though they don't have to.
Representatives are here to REPRESENT a group of people with things in common like interests and motives.
