The first occupational therapy model for our client is the Person-Environment-Occupation Performance (PEOP) model (Cole & Tufano, 2020). Unlike the PEO model, the PEOP model helps to explain the complex nature of occupational performance (Cole & Tufano, 2020). The application of this model to the above case scenario is that this model guides our decision making, clinical reasoning, and professional awareness to address our client functional/cognitive deficits. This is important because deficits in function and cognition can also affect occupational performance (Cole & Tufano, 2020)
