**Popular Sovereignty

Federalism
: System of government in the US in which the NATIONAL government reigns supreme.

: The Checks and Balances system provides each branch of government with individual powers to check the other branches and prevent any one branch from becoming too powerful.

: Government limited in power.

Ideology: a political ideology is a certain set of ethical ideals, principles, doctrines, myths or symbols of a social movement, institution, class or large group that explains how society should work and offers some political and cultural blueprint for a certain social order.

ModerateA moderate is considered someone occupying any mainstream position avoiding extreme views and major social change.
