Field trip to the “Planetarium” - Solar System (1st - 3rd June)

1 whole class activity
create 4 different stations for hands-on activities

show a short video of the solar system
make use of pre trip materials to take off

station 1 (dow - viewing)

find the letters in the sensory box and spell out the different planet names on the wall

groups at each station for 15 mins, switch until all stations attempted

done before:
rocket made out of cut-out shapes
milk, food colouring and dish soap to create the galaxy effect
aluminium foil crushed to stamp and create textured effect moon
galaxy painting using paint and black paper, at the end used cotton bud with white paint as stars
