MIGRATION, A GLOBAL QUESTION
THE MAJORITY SITUATION
- Migration is a true global issue because of the impact it has on the international community.
- The fact that millions of people move from one country or continent to another has an influence on their places of origin, the countries migrants go through, and where they arrive.
- An even greater problem is the flow of refugees that has increased worldwide.

WOMEN AND MIGRATION
- In 1960, women represented 47% of the total migration. Currently, they represent 48%. Process called the feminization of migrations.
- There is little talk about women and migration, but certainly many women have migrated.
- There is also what has been defined as feminization of work.
REFUGEES
- They know the dangers they face but they keep trying because they can't stay where their life was threatened and their rights violated.
- They are not migrants, because most do not leave their places voluntarily.
- People search refugee for two reasons: the first are internal wars or internationals and he second is poverty extreme.
