The EU is launching a specific mission to foster the resilience of all, be it regions, cities, citizens or companies, to climate change. The Mission Adaptation to Climate Change, will enable Europe to prepare for unavoidable climate impacts and accelerate the transformation to a climate-resilient Europe.
Overarching goals:
To strengthen the EU's scientific and technological bases and the European Research Area (ERA);
To boost Europe's innovation capacity, competitiveness and jobs;
To deliver on citizen's priorities and sustain our socio-economic model and values.
Particular focus on creating impact or the European Green Deal, the digital and sustainability transition and recovery from the coronavirus-crisis.
Mission Enabling activities: Digital knowledge system, public mobilisation and engagement, dynamic investment ecosystem (HORIZON-MISS-2021-OCEAN-05)

This Mission will provide a systemic approach for the restoration, protection and preservation of our ocean, seas and waters.

Social Prerogative and Specific Competencies Lines (SOCPL)
Prerogatives are tasks resulting from specific powers directly conferred by the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU) to the European Commission.
The prerogatives budget lines managed by the Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion deal with social dialogue, labour mobility as well as analysis of the social situation, demographics and the family.

Innovation Fund (INNOVFUND)
The Innovation Fund is one of the world’s largest funding programmes for the demonstration of innovative low-carbon technologies.
It is a key funding instrument for delivering the EU’s economy-wide commitments under the Paris Agreement and its objective to become climate-neutral by 2050.
The Fund will be financed by revenues from the auctioning of allowances under the EU Emissions Trading System and may amount to about €10 billion, depending on the carbon price
Its focus is on:
Innovative low-carbon technologies and processes in energy-intensive industries, including products substituting carbon intensive ones.
Carbon capture and utilisation (CCU)
Construction and operation of carbon capture and storage (CCS).
Innovative renewable energy generation.
Energy storage.

Innovation Fund Small Scale Projects (InnovFund-2021-SSC)

Innovation in low-carbon technologies and processes in sectors listed in Annex I, including environmentally safe carbon capture and utilisation (‘CCU’) that contributes substantially to mitigating climate change,as well as products substituting carbon intensive ones produced in sectors listed in Annex I, environmentally safe capture and geological storage (‘CCS’) of CO2, and innovative renewable energy and energy storage technologies.

LIFE Action Grant Budget-Based [LIFE-AG] Budget: €9 million
Capacity building aim at supporting national level public bodies responsible for implementation of LIFE to improve their Member State effective participation in the Programme and increasing the quality of submitted proposals, through specific needs based activities.
European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF)
EMFAF provides support for developing innovative projects ensuring that aquatic and maritime resources are used sustainably.
It facilitates :
The transition to sustainable and low-carbon fishing.
The protection of marine biodiversity and ecosystems.
The supply of quality and healthy seafood to European consumers.
The socio-economic attractiveness and the generational renewal of the fishing sector, in particular as regards small-scale coastal fisheries.
