Corporate safety culture
An organisation’s safety culture represents the organisation’s shared values with respect to safety and how these corporate values are manifested in the attitudes, values and beliefs of the organisation’s people.
-
Corporate safety culture encompasses the entire chain, linking the most senior person in an organisation to the most junior. Unsuitable corporate values will place a high stress on the links in the chain. This can cause the failure of the weakest link, and creates the potential for an accident.
