VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITIONING
Types of ventilation
Natural ventilations
Wind-induced ventilation employs the forces created by the wind on the building to force air through apertures.
Mechanical ventilations
Through an air handling unit or direct fan injection into an area.
Definition of ventilation
Process of "changing" or replenishing air in any area to control temperature, supply oxygen, or remove moisture, odours, smoke, heat, dust, airborne bacteria, and carbon dioxide.
Used to eliminate odours and excess moisture, introduce outside air, circulate inside building air, and prevent stagnation.
Includes both the exchange of air to the outside and the circulation of air within the building.
Mechanical and natural ventilation methods can be used to ventilate a structure.
Method of air ventilation system
Natural inflow and outflow
The use of wind and thermal buoyancy to create air movement in and out of your home without the use of mechanical systems
Natural inflow and mechanical outflow
Internal air is forced out by a fan, which is usually mounted on a building component such as the roof, wall, or window.
. The technology aids in the prevention of contaminated/foul air from entering surrounding areas.
Mechanical inflow and natural outflow
Suction fans are used to bring outside air inside the structure.
Consumed interior air will naturally depart the building through apertures located on the lower level.
Mechanical inflow and outflow
A mechanical fan is used to bring external air into and out of the inside region.
The structure must be suitably shielded from noise, high air pressure, and extreme temperatures
Air conditioning
Provide cooling dehumidification in the summer
Cooling through air conditioning is a fundamental aspect of modern development in tropical and subtropical nations
Mostly utilized in industry and to provide a regulated
environment in public facilities such as offices, cinemas and halls
Types of air conditioning
Split Air conditioner (indoor and outdoor unit)
Window air conditioner
Heating system
Forced-air system
Radiant heating systems
