VIDEOGRAPHER / EDITOR IN PHOENIX
LIFE LONG LEARNER
I feel I will continue to educate myself in my industry even after graduation. I feel the few years after graduation is a learning experience. You will only continue to grow even more in the industry. You never stop learning.
I feel social media is growing by the day and specifically video platforms. Because of TikTok it has forced other platforms like Instagram to shift towards video content. With the industry I am in videography trends are pushed toward social media platforms. Companies are using social media more than ever right now because it reaches the highest number of audience. Creating short videos on social media and promoting the brand is a big thing in todays world and I feel it will grow even more as time goes on.
The Videography industry is growing at the minute. Videographers are in high demand based on technology and social media today. Every brand or company is using social media to promote their products and services. More people are intrigued by a video post than a picture or text. It grabs there attention longer than the other too. Videographers are in high demand no matter if it is a one time job or working for a company.
I will be graduating with a minor in marketing. I feel like that is a great minor to be paired with VCT. Those two can go hand and hand and would raise my stock compared to a lot of other people with just one degree. I do not plan on getting any additional education after that. I hope 5-10 years after graduation I am a full time real estate investor. I would like to escape the rat race or 9 to 5 job. 10 years from now hopefully I have employees working for me. I do enjoy doing video graphing and could do it as a freelancer or part time to maybe make some cash on the side.
LONG TERM GOALS
My proposed budget should allow me to live comfortably. I also have a girl friend who make a decent amount of money as well 3 years out of college. I do like to travel and play golf as one of my hobbies. Depending on what the companies benefits are I might not have to pay for health or dental insurance, etc. I feel if i find a entry level position around $50,000 or higher I will be able to live well and stress free, including my girlfriends salary.
Once I have a steady salary I would plan on investing into a 401k and Roth IRA. Those would be my long term financial investments. Other than those two I would invest some of my money into crypto. I would also look into investing into Real Estate also.
My long term financial goals would be to be financially free as soon as possible. What I mean by that is having enough cash flowing assets to cover all my expenses. I would like to travel as much as I can, not only in the United States but around the world. Obviously be able to buy your dream car. I feel like everyone has that goal. I would be smart and see if I could actually afford it.
My spending habits are very good compared to many of people that I am close with. I am always thinking about retiring as soon as possible. I am focused on spending money on assets and not liabilities. Liabilities takes money out of your pocket, whereas assets put money into your pocket. I will not be buying a brand new car right out of college just to have a car payment every month. That is a liability. My spending habits are very good and I am always cautious of what I spend my money on.
ME AT WORK
I have an extreme high work ethic. Once I start something I don't like to stop until I am finished with the task. I am in love with the process of grinding and working. I grew up as an athlete so I have been constantly training and working towards goals my whole life.
I value a job position that allows me to express my mind and creativity. Allowing creativity will let me increase and improve my skillset while learning as I work. Another thing that I value in a position is a good salary and getting paid well.
The type of work I would be doing does correspond with my personality. The work I would be doing involves a bunch of creativity. I would consider myself as a creative person that is always thinking of different ways to do stuff.
There is 100% ethics in videography. Our field evolve around using your own work. There is a reason why copyright exist in this world. You must use your own footage and your own ideas in videography.

I have yet to really define my personal brand. I am a current athlete and I love to create athletic videos and edit them. Eventually I will come up with something. I can see myself being a real estate videographer also. It would be between real estate and athletics for my personal brand.
