in northern kenya 3 (2009-2015) fence gaps are being used constantly, intrestinly, prey and predator use this gap however predators do not hunt near the fence gaps possibly becuse of elepant traffic.
in 2015 the western 20m wide fence gap ( exluded rhinos) between the boarder of lewa wildlife conservitory and borana wilfe life conservitory called the lew-borana landscapep was modified by management becoming a 6.8 km passage which would exclude elephants and giraffs plus a 1.49 km non exclussive gap., rendering the old fence-gap a ghost gap
