ORGANS
-
Major Organ
KIDNEYS
-
The kidneys are a pair of bean-shaped organs that are found underneath the liver. Kidneys filter blood and keep the body's water balance in check.
-
MAJOR PART
Urinary Tract
After then, the urine is evacuated from the body. There are three phases to this process:
2. REABSORPTION - impurities pass via tubules, while the rest of the blood is reabsorbed into the bloodstream through capillary walls.
3. EXCRETION- urine is delivered from the kidneys to the Urinary Bladder via the Ureters. It is held in the bladder until it is passed through the Urethra and discharged.
1. FILTRATION - blood flows into a nephron, which filters pollutants out.
