The bourgeoise and ploretariat: The ploretariats must accept the rented land and capital from the bourgeoise, but they end up without a say in their treatment in society in the name of kindness.
The bourgeoise and the middle class: The middle class is disillusioned by unguaranteed riches in being in contact with the bourgeoise. When controversies are sparked, they are never suspected.
The middle class and the ploretariat: The middle class use the ploretariat members to attain their goals, despite knowing what each other go through. This causes interactions which disgusted Mashenka herself.
State apparatuses
RSA (repressive): The feeling of entitlement of the bourgeoise causes the ploretariat to feel lower than them. This is enforced through the maidservants' obedience to the Kushkin household.
ISA (ideaological): The presence of the "middle class" who know what the ploretariat undertake cause the poor to see life in the thinking that "life is hard, so they must give way to others."
