Mechanism of action
Sirolimus inhibit T lymphocytes activation and proliferation that occur in response to antigenic and cytokine, stimulating by mechanism that distinct of other immunosuppressants. Sirolimus also inhibit antibody production. In cell sirolimus bind immunophilins, fk binding protein-12 to degenerate an immunosuppressive complex. this complex binds to and inhibit the activation of mammalian targets of rapamycin (mTOR)
