Japanese Internment

internment is the state of being confined as a prisoner especially for political or military reasons

other words that may be used are relocation centers

more than 66% of japanese americans sent to the camps were born in the US and never had been to japan

japanese americans that fought in WW1 were also sent to the camps

there were 10 japanese internment camps in the US located in remote areas in 7 US states

The camps has tarpaper barracks for housing, mess halls and schools

adults could work for $5 dollars a day

camps would be located in areas difficult to farm in

the holocaust

they would teach that america and big countries were going down the drain because of democracy and democracy was a political system run by jews
