Mechanism of action
Adrenergic against that promotes weight loss by activation of the sympathetic nervous system with a subsequent decrease in food intake and decreased resting energy expenditure. The combination has been shown to have addictive weight loss efficacy

Indications
Phentermine Hydrochloride Tablets are indicated as a short-term (a few weeks) adjunct in a regimen of weight reduction based on exercise, behavioral modification and caloric restriction in the management of exogenous obesity for patients with an initial body mass index ≥ 30 kg/m2, or ≥ 27 kg/m2 in the presence of other risk factors (e.g., controlled hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia).
Contraindications
History of cardiovascular disease (e.g., coronary artery disease, stroke, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, uncontrolled hypertension)

Mechanism of action
Acts by reversibly inhibiting the gastric and pancreatic lipases. These lipases have an important role in the digestion of dietary fat. they work by breaking down the triglycerides into absorbable free fatty acids and monoglycerides
