- DESCRIBE FIBER OPTIC CABLING AND : ITS MAIN ADVANTAGE OVER OTHER MEDIA
A fiber-optic cable contains anywhere from a few to hundreds of optical fibers within a plastic casing. Also known as optic cables or optical fiber cables, they transfer data signals in the form of light and travel hundreds of miles significantly faster than those used in traditional electrical cables. And because fiber-optic cables are non-metallic, they are not affected by electromagnetic interference that can reduce speed of transmission. Fiber cables are also safer as they do not carry a current and therefore cannot generate a spark.
-
1.Better banwidth.
Fibre optic cables have much greater bandwidth than metal cables. Information can be transmitted per unit time of fibre over other transmission media, giving fibre optic cables a significant advantage.
- Higher bandwidth means faster speed
Fibre optic networks are significantly faster than even the highest-speed copper Internet connections, with options ranging from 5 Mbps to 100 Gbps.
- Longer transmission distance
Fibre optic cables can reach 10’s of kilometres in distance compared to the maximum 100-metre distance that is the limit of copper cables.
Compared to copper cables, fibre optic cables are thinner and lighter in weight. Fibre can withstand more pull pressure than copper and is less prone to damage and breakage.
The business benefits of lowering your latency could include better voice quality for VoIP users, the ability to move more apps to the cloud, download and upload huge files without disruption and improved collaboration between employees.
It has higher physical security as all hardware and electronics can be installed In one central location, unlike copper systems, where equipment is required to be installed within distribution locations throughout a facility.
- Identify device connectivity options.
- charging only
- MTP (Media Transfer Protocol):
To view or transfer all formats of files available on your phone from your computer. You will be basically be able to view every files in its corresponding location where it was stored.
- PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol):
In this protocol, your phone will be connected to your PC like a digital camera. Only specific images and files will be visible from your computer. The 'Pictures' folder and the 'Camera' or 'DCIM' folder from the phone will be visible on your PC.
- MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface):
Beginning with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Android has added support for MIDI supported devices like keyboards or other musical instruments.
