blurred vision, headache, dizziness, nervousness, light-headed feeling, wheezing, fast breathing and feeling short of breath(Xylometazoline)
fever,bitter taste in your mouth,nosebleedsand pain,drowsiness,upper respiratory tract infection,ear infection(azelastin)
feeling sick, headaches, a dry mouth, a fast or irregular heartbeat, or increased blood pressure. It might also make you feel restless, nervous or shaky (pseudoephedrine)
Indication
for the temporary relief of nasal congestion due to cold, hay fever or other respiratory allergies(Xylometazoline)
-
indicated for the symptomatic treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis in patients 5 years and older and for the symptomatic treatment of vasomotor rhinitis in patients 12 years and older.Ophthalmic azelastine solution is indicated for the treatment of itchy eyes associated with allergic conjunctivitis(Azelastin)
Mechanism of action
acts mainly as an agonist of alpha adrenergic receptors and less strongly as an agonist of beta adrenergic receptors. This agonism of adrenergic receptors produces vasoconstriction which is used as a decongestant and as a treatment of priapism.. Pseudoephedrine is also an inhibitor of norepinephrine, dopamine, and serotonin transporters (pseudoephedrine)
Nasal congestion is caused by various etiologies, such as rhinosinusitis and allergic or non-allergic rhinitis, leading to congestion of the venous sinusoids lining the nasal mucosa. Activation of α-adrenergic receptors leads to vasoconstriction of the blood vessels of the nasal mucosa and resumption of nasal airflow (Xylometazoline)
is primarily a selective antagonist of histamine H1-receptors, with a lesser affinity for H2-receptors, used for the symptomatic treatment of allergies.Histamine H1-receptors are G-protein-coupled receptors with 7 transmembrane spanning domains7 that are found on nerve endings, smooth muscle cells, and glandular cells (azelastine)
Contraindications
