6 types of Energy
Chemical energy
Energy stored in the chemical bonds of substances.
Food that we eat it gives us the energy you need to go on with your day otherwise without that energy you'd be tired.
Lighting a match a match wouldn't light without the thing you strike it against but once you do it takes the energy and you get the flame.
Mechanical energy
The total potential and kinetic energy of a system.
A wrecking ball because it contains kinetic energy and once you fling it at something it has enough wait and energy to destroy it.
A bowling ball because once you realese it the kinetic energy pulls and the kinetic energy allows it to stay in motion until it gets hit by the pins.
Electriacal energy
Energy stored in the cages found in particles of atoms.
Our phones this is electrical energy because you charge it and it has energy in it so you can use it through the day without recharging your phone.
Batteries because they have energy in them and you can put them in remotes and not have to change them for a while.
nuclear energy
Energy contained in the forces that hold the nucleus of an atom together.
Nuclear weapons like bombs when it makes impact all of the energy rushes out and makes a massive explosion.
Nuclear power plants because there's turbines that make all the energy and then its stored and used when its needed.
Radiant energy
Energy contained in waves that are part of the electromagnetic spectrum.
Radio waves because it takes the waves
and makes it into sound
The sun because it transfers the waves from the sun into light
Thermal energy
molecular potential and kinetic energy of atoms.
The heat from a heater when you plug in the heater it uses the electiricity to heat up the air from what energy was stored in there.
Making coffee when you plug it in to make coffee it has energy stored in there and it heats up the water and adds the coffee mix to it.
