The electricity
-

-
Materials that let electric current flow through them (for example, copper, tin, alluminium, silver and iron)
An electric circuit is a series of interconnected components that an electric current flows to produce an effect.
There are four main components in an electric circuit: power sources, conductors, load devices and control devices.
Power sources
Components that supply the necessary electrical energy to the rest of the circuit are cells and batteries.
Cell
Supplies electrical energy to the rest of the circuit.
Cells have a positive terminal and a negative terminal; this lets them supply electric current to the circuit when they are connected
-
Control devices
Devices that regulate the circuit; in other words, they allow or prevent the flow of electric current through the circuit te main tipes of control devices are one way switches push switches two ways switches
One-way switch
One-way switches open or close the circuit when they are pressed. One position opens the circuit and stops the electric current from flowing through it; the other position closes the circuit and lets the electric current pass
Push switch
Push switches open and close the circuit but only while the button is pushed. These devices can either be normally (NO) or normally closed (NC), depending on what they do before they pressed. NO switches can also be called push-to-make switches and NC switches can be called push-to-break switches
Two-way switch
Two-way switches have two positions. When we press them, they change from one position to the other. They are also called changeover switches
Conductors
Components that transport the electrical energy from th power sources to the load devices; in other words, the electric current flows through these components. The conductive components of a circuit are the wires.
-
Load devices
Components that recieve the electrical energy from the power sources and convert it to other types of useful energy. Examples of load devices in circuits are: motors, lamps, buzzers and resistors

-
Resistor
A load device that opposes the flow of the electric current. Converts electrical energy to heat energy
