Now captions have been incorporated in mostly all movies and tv shows were deaf people are able to enjoy these entertainments
Back in the day it was known as a dark time when their were silent movies and the deaf weren't able to understand anything
Alerting devices
Alarm available today is a tactile alarm which is used to wake up heavy sleepers
As well their are vibrators which are also known as bed shakers and is placed under the pillow
Wind-up alarms clocks that were wired to an electronic lamp
The most common waking device was a household cat or dog
