3 rules
Researchers should consciously shun the practice of recycling materials & publishing them in different journals with some minor modifications
Be careful & judicial while quoting from your own published materials. While no institutions would forbid you from the quoting from your own publications, it is better to resort to this practice only if it is warranted for some candidates consiously & indiscriminately cite from their own publications just to promote themselves, especially to boost their impact factor of their publications
All quotations
whether from your own published materials & other sources should properly be acknowledged & meticulously documented
