On June 18, 1941, Law 74 was approved, which has the purpose of organizing Tourism in the Republic and by which the previous laws, of the years 34 and 38, are repealed. Through this Law, the "National Board of Tourism”, made up of the Minister of Agriculture and Commerce, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Panama, and the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Colón. The main purpose of the National Tourism Board was to promote tourism in the territory of the Republic.
