Electricity. Electrical energy
Is the most common form of energy because it´s easy to obtain, it can be transported over long distances and it can easily be transformed into many other forms of energy (like light, heat, sound and motion).
Forms of electricity.
Electricity
Electricity is a form of energy -that lets negatively charged particles move from one atom to another.
Electric current
Electric current is the flow of electrons from one atom to another inside a conductive material
Conductors and insulators
Conductors
Material that let electric current flow through them (for example, cooper, tin, aluminium, silver and iron).
Insulators
Materials that do not let electric current flow through them (plastic, paper, textiles, wood, etc.).
Electric circuits. Components.
Is a series of interconnected components that an electric current flows through to produce an effect (like light, heat, sound or motion).
There are four main components in an electric circuit:
Conductors
Components that transport the electrical energy from the powersources to the load devices ;in other words, the electric current flows throgh these components. The conductive components of a circuit are the wires.
Load devices
components that recibe the electical energy from the power sources and convert it to other types of useful energy. Examples of load divices in circuits are: motors, lamps, buzzers and resistors.
Control divices
Devices that regulate the circuit; in other words, they allow or prevent the flow of electric current through the circuit. The main tipes of control devices are one-way switches, push switchers and two-way switches.
Power sources
Components that supply the necessary electrical energy to the rest of the circuit in order to move electrons. The generators of direct current in a circuit are cells and batteries.

Open circuits and closed circuits.
Open circuits
A circuit is open when the energy of the power source cannot research the load divices, so the elctric current cannot flow.
Closed circuits
A circuit is closed when the energy of the power source reaches the load divices, so the electric current flows
