Economic Impact
South
The south suffered a lot as the North blocked their trade with the UK and France - they couldn't trade their cotton which their economy relied on
North
Slight dip in sales as customers from the south weren't visiting but overall the North wasn't affected
Effect on Slaves
700,00 African Americans could now vote but this was still a small percentage of the population
