WHAT IS IT?
electricity
It is a form of energy that lets negatively charged particles move from one atom to another
electic currrent
It is the flow of electrons from one atom to another inside a conductive material

Closed circuit
On: the lamp is not lit. The eltric current does not flow
Open circuit
Off: the lamp is lit. The electric current flows and reaches the lamp to light it.
Series circuit: In these circuits, all the components are connected one after the other. This way, all the current flows through all the load devices. There is only one possible path for the electric current to flow through.

The lamps will not be very bright because the energy suplied the cell is shered among all three
If load device stops working ,none them will work because the circuits will be open . This happens when one of the load devices fails or is not connected to the circuit properly.
Parallel circuit: In this circuit, the load devices are connected on different branches of the wire. There are several possible paths for the electric current to flow through.
Even if one of the load devices stops working, the rest continue to work becaus ethe electric current takes another path (the circuit is closed by another path)
More electric current flows in the branch that offers the least resistance
The current doen't flow equqlly throught all the load devices; instead, it's shared by all the possible paths
The lamps will shine very brightly because the energy from the cell reaches them directly
Converting electrical energy

When electrons move through a conductor or load device, they create friction with the material as they pass through, wich produces heat. This is called Joule effect
Lamp: it converts energy to light energy
Motion :silhouette:
We can convert electricity to motion using a motor.The effect obtained when we make an electric current flow throught a motor is that its shaft turns in a rotary motion .
Motor: it converts energy to kinetic energy
Light :bulb:
We can convert electricity to light through load devices such as incandescent lamps, fluorecent tubes and electronic or low-energy lamps
Resistor: it converts energy to heat energy
Sound :ear:
We can use electrical energy to transmit sounds through sirens, buzzers, and bells.The sound that comes out of a loudspeaker it produces vibrations in a membrane that are caused by electrical energy
BUzzer: it converts energy to sound energy
Energy and the envirioment
Of the many activities we do every day, the majority use electicity.
Reponsible use of electrical energy
Always switch off electronic equipment instead of leaving them in standby mode, wich continues to consume energy
Replace old electrical appliances with more efficent ones laelled "class A"
Use certain domestic appliances only when they are full
Replace incandescent bulbs with low energy bulbs
Enviriomental impact of energy is generated industrially in power stations, wich convert a form of energy to electrical energy
