        The assembly line in the future will become even larger and bigger because we humans will be creating more products and have more demand for products. Robots will be in the assembly line running the whole operation which means less money is used in the production of the assembly line so the product will be priced less. This means that everyone will all be able to buy products which have become affordable (visioned to be expensive) and at the same quality. People want to have a product that gives them status because of the product's high quality, reputation and high price. If everyone has top end products by assembly lines people will start to look at people with special skills that can make a product by themselves. This then causes people to not want to have assembly lines because they want the products to be better then others and this occurs when a person buys a product made from a specialist for a high price. This is a social impact because people now will not want to have assembly line products because they are not valuable as the robot assembly line products are devalued and people will want to have a specialist come to make their product at a higher rate and better quality making them unique from others (flex their product to others).
- - - - 1953 Peppered Moths adapting their color Environmental (Alex)
        In 1953 Bernard Kettlewell was first to look into the biological change (evolutionary mechanism) of the peppered moth. The adaptation of the moth increased dramatically from its starting point in the late 1800’s and escalated when Assembly line factories added to the factories creating more pollution. Peppered moths lived in birch trees where they camouflaged as the moths were white coloured from their predators. As the assembly line grew smoke and soot was falling onto these trees from the production of factories and assembly lines. The trees now were covered in black smoke which now meant moths were seen in the trees. This caused massive amounts of the peppered moth population to decrease because now they were being killed from the predators because they were no longer camouflage. Then the peppered moths started to adapt and change their color through natural selection. This is an environmental impact because assembly line production smoke caused wildlife to adapt and change including the peppered moth.

        (1967) Invention of EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection.) (Angus B)
        Electronic fuel injection was introduced in 1967. This invention helped reduce emissions and improve fuel efficiency by eliminating the need for a carburetor and instead using electronic fuel plugs to squirt fuel straight into the cylinder. Carburetors were known to be unreliable and hard to tune as you would have to adjust the air to fuel ratio as well as the idle. Getting this wrong would make the engine less reliable and possibly produce more smoke if the ratio was wrong.

        This is a primary source as it is a first hand graph of annual percent change of emissions 1995-2020.
        Air pollution today is huge and 25% of emissions in the world are from factories. This is because of the assembly line production. When the assembly line production grew more, more factories were being created and produced which created huge amounts of pollution. This then continued until we measured pollution and realized air pollution/smoke was dangerous. As seen in the graph the annual percent change of Emissions from 1995-2020 shows that we started to control and lower the air pollution because we put regulations in. Assembly line has made a huge impact on the environment because it is the reason why we have 58% of air pollution per year by industrial sites. The innovation of assembly line production caused the rise in air pollution from factories and impacted the environment because now air pollution from factories still occurs.

        Robots added into the assembly line. The addition of robots now working the assembly line was both a positive and negative. The negative was that thousands of jobs were replaced by robots meaning the people had to find new jobs. The positive about this was that now there was decreased possibility for error to happen. This also replaces humans from the physical assembly line so they can work on the quality rather than quantity of the product and takes humans away from the dangerous parts of the process.

        Robots have been upgraded in the assembly line and robots have been developed to work next to humans and not reliant on full human interaction improving efficiency and productivity of assembly lines. The robots are now cheaper and more effective from when the invention of robots in the assembly line was created. This is a technological advancement as it has now made assembly line production even more efficient.

        This is a primary source as it is a first hand photograph of robots at an assembly line.
        
        The future of assembly lines will not even involve people in the assembly line. In the future people will be maintaining the robots that are in the actual assembly line. Robots will take over the whole assembly line and humans will then only be maintaining the robots that will be maintaining the robots in the assembly line. The robots working in the assembly line will be maintained by other robots which are maintained by humans. This is a technological advancement as now humans will have close to no interaction with the actual assembly line and will instead just be consuming and taking the products from the assembly line. This is a positive towards society because now we will have more efficient assembly lines with people working on more important tasks relating to the product. This is a negative as well because lots of jobs will be taken and people will no longer be involved with the mass production of products physically.
