A character is a person or a personified animal, plant or object.

protagonist= main character
antagonist= bad guy
deuteragonist= secondary character
tertiary character= minor character
love interest
confidant= protaganist shares toughts and feelings with them
foil= opposite of protaganist personality
qualities
round= multi-dimensional characters. They have emotional depth, have multiple characteristics and we know quite a lot about them. This makes them more real and life-like.
flat= one-dimensional characters. They do not have any emotional depth. They usually have one or two main characteristics which makes them quite stereotypical.
dynamic= they change and grow during the story
static= they stay the same

first person= told by a character in the story
third person= narrator outside the story
limited third person= narrator tells from pov of a character in the story
multiple third person= told from the perspective of mutiple characters by the narrator
omniscient third person= the narrator is all knowing
