How many people died during the holocaust?
Nazi's murdered nearly 6 million Jews
They persecuted people w/ disabilities, gypsies, homosexuals, Slavic people and Jews
Back in the Middle Ages, Jewish people were subjected to discrimination & mob violence
Also in the 19th & 20th century the frequency & intensity of Anti-Jewish govt. policies diminished
What's the Nuremberg Laws?
On Sept. 1935 The Nuremberg Laws took citizenship away from Jewish Germans & banned marriage between Jewish & German people
In 1938, Nazi's banned Jews from practicing law, medicine, & operating businesses

There were 6 extermination camps: 1. Chelmo 2. Belzec 3. Sobibor 4. Treblinka 5. Aushwitz-Birkenan 6. Mahdanek
Their plan was to exterminate all Jewish people
The first people to usually die first at concentration camps were: 1. Young Kids/Babies 2. Handicapped & Sick 3. Elders/Seniors 4. Pregnant Woman
Healthy people would work as slave laborers until they dropped dead of exhaustion, disease or malnutrition
Summary: The Holocaust was part of WW2 and started by Adolf Hitler, leader of Germany. The Nazi's were a political party and they hated Jews, they killed nearly 6 million Jews. Jews were discriminated and banned to do things a "Non Jew" could do, what is known as the Nuremberg Laws. Concentration camps were made by the Nazi's to get rid of Jews. People who didn't meet the criteria to be a slave worker t the camp, were killed such as little kids, elders and etc...
