VR Treatment For Depression
Process
3Q
How is it useful?
By creating a false world, VR allows patients to see their environment and stress from a third perspective. They can find their psychological problems more targeted for more effective solutions.
Why it matters?
With the development of society, there are more and more patients with depression, and the traditional psychologist's counseling therapy is less and less effective. Virtual reality (VR) continues to evolve and is already playing a role in various fields. In my opinion, VR therapy will be more helpful for people with depression.

Then, people need to choose the theme they want to simulate. For example, if the work environment puts a lot of pressure on he/she, he/she can simulate the office and observe the office environment from a third perspective.
Third, people need to wear VR simulation goggles. With it, they can feel that they have reached the environment you want to simulate, and with the sound effects, they can get a more realistic experience.
Finally, virtual reality therapy can connect people with unusual mental health diagnoses to specific experts who can provide them with appropriate therapy (Kevin, 2021). Experts can go into your chosen environment, find the real cause of your depression, and make more targeted treatments.
VR therapy is achieved through the use of head-mounted displays that preserve the outside world. Stereoscopic displays create the illusion of depth perception, allowing users to look around a virtual environment. There are also sound effects for enhanced immersion (Annet, 2019).
First, you need to download a VR therapy software, and then complete basic tests, including detection of depression type and degree of depression.

refutation
Most scientists states that psychology as "helping professions" are still considered quintessentially human fields and can only provide an auxiliary role for psychological treatment
The company does not need to develop VR therapy to continue, it just needs to make the existing therapy technology to achieve large-scale sales.
counter-argument
Some people think that AI therapy will replace the work of psychotherapists.
Most companies believe that the research and development costs for VR therapy are very large.
Opinion
With the existing technology, the VR robot can simulate the real-life treatment environment according to the patient's etiology.
VR therapy can significantly reduce long-term treatment costs.
