Anti emetics
Benzodiazepines
Generic name: Diazepam. Trade name: Valium. Dosage: 2-10mg 2-4 times daily. Indication : management to treat anxiety. Contraindication: Severe respiratory insuffiency. Side effect: Drowsiness, fatigue, headache
Antihistamine
Generic name: Clemastine. Trade name: Tavegyl. Dosage: 1.34mg 3 TID. Indication: For the relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis . Contraindication: Overactive thyroid gland, high blood pressure. Side effect: Drowsiness, nausea and dizziness
Anticholinergics
Generic name: Benztropine. Trade name: Cogentin. Dosage: 0.5-2mg daily. Indication: Treatment of parkinson's disease. Contraindication: Children under age of three years,infants and neonates. Side effect: Dry mouth, nausea, vomiting
Dopamine antagonist
Generic name; Metoclopramide. Trade name: Reglan. Dosage: 10-15mg QID. Indication: Therapy for adults with symptom gastroesophageal reflux. Contraindication: Patient with pheochromocytoma. Side effect: Tiredness,headache,nausea
Serotonin antagonist
Generic name: Nefazodone. Trade name: Serzone. Dosage: 200mg daily. Indication: Treatment for depression. Contraindication: allergic to nefazodone and has liver problem. Side effect: Headache, heartburn,dry mouth
Anti ulcer
Histamine2 receptor
Generic name : Cimetidine. Trade name : Tagamet. Dosage: 400mg twice daily. Indication : Treatment of duodenal and benign gastric. Contraindication : Chronic kidney disease with stage 3B(moderate),4(severe) and 5(failure). Side effect : breast swelling, hallucination,bloody stools
Systemic effect
Generic name: Magnesium hydroxide. Trade name: Mylanta. Dosage: 10-20ml. Indication: For acid indigestion, heartburn. Contraindication : Blockage of the stomach or intestine. Side effect: Bone pains, muscle weakness, confusion and pale skin
Non systemic effect
Generic name: Magnesium phosphate. Trade name: Mag tab. Dosage: 350mg daily. Indication : Magnesium deficiency. Side effect: Slow heart rate and nausea
Generic name: Magnesium trisilicate. Trade name: Gaviscon Regular Strength Tablets. Dosage: 10-20ml TID. Indication: Relieve pains and discomfort of indigestion and heartburn. Contraindication: Hypertension, severe renal failure
Proton pump Inhibitors
Generic name: Rabeprazole. Trade name: Acephix. Dosage: 20mg daily. Indication: for treat symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Contraindication: Liver problems. Side effect: Headache, sore throat,diarrhea
Antidiarrheal drugs
Adsorbents. Which is attract and bind to irritants other substance in intestine
Generic name: Hydrated aluminium silicate. Trade name:Kaolin. Dosage: 26.2g every 6 hours within 2 days. Indication: To treat diarrhea. Side effect: Tiredness, lack of appetite and not being able to have a bowel movement.
Oploids. Relief pains and reduce muscle contraction in intestine
Generic name: Loperamide. Trade name: Imodium. Dosage: 6-8mg daily. Indication: For treatment the various forms of diarrhea and irrtable bowel. Contraindication: Pediatric patient less to under 2 ages and having risk of respiratory depression and serious cardiac adverse reaction. Side effect:

Antibiotic groups
Generic name: Polymyxin. Trade name: Triple antibiotic. Dosage: 1g hourly for 4 hours then 4 hourly for 2-3days before operation. Indication: Prevent from bacterial infection in intestined. Contraindication: Ileus, Gi obstruct. Side effect: Nausea, fatigue and diarrhea
Anesthesia
Generic name: Propofol. Trade name: Diprivan. Dosage: 10mg/ml. Indication: Use for maintanence of anaesthesia and management of refractory status epilepticus. Contraindication: Low blood pressure, seizures. Side effect: Hypertriglyceridemia, hypertension and movement
