How many people are there in the word?
The world population
The population in 2015 was 7,350 million people.
Natality and mortality
The average number of people born in one place is called birth.
The average number of people who die in a certain place is called mortality.
The demographic transition
This phenomenon called "demographic transition", began in Europe. Then it spread to the other
continents. Thus, between 1800 and today the world population has multiplied by seven
sometimes approximately. It is estimated that the world population would reach about
11.2 billion in 2100, at which time it would practically stop growing. However, these calculations
are very uncertain. The predictions lack certainty and must be accepted with great caution.

Population Disproportions
In 2007, worldwide, the urban population already exceeded the rural population. But the proportion is different according to the continents. North America is the most urbanized continent (81%). Africa and Asia are the least urbanized (41%). The other continents have a greater urban population: Latin America (78%); Europe (74%) and Oceania (73%).
