Patient Experience Accreditation: In this course, we discussed in detail the PDSA Cycle and how this can be implemented by health organizations to help ensure programs and services provided are of high-quality and achieve the objectives intended. During accreditation, the importance of this cycle, especially the planning and studying stages, in practice. I was able to critically examine how previous programs proceeded through this process and where programs with limited success fell short. In planning for improvement post-accreditation, my team and I emphasized the need to increase the degree of coordinated planning that goes into program development/implementation. Here I was also able to see what constitutes a successful, quality program, this has provided me with ideas for future program development I hope to be a part of.
