- Over optimistic - ignore deep seated structural inequalities of capitalism & patriarchy

- End = abolishing family (root of patriarchy) through separatism
- attention to rape, DA, porn & unequal division of labour
- relationships can involve domination
- Inadequate theory of how patriarchy will be abolished
- neglects womens violence against men
- ignores freedom of choice

- GI = Capitalism - doubly exploited as workers & women
Reprod. labour force, reserve army for cheap labour
- shows how gender roles are created then being natural
- Modern FL does not create WF - more child centered
- modern NF not traditional but dual earners
- ↑ family diversity is genuine - makes theory more relevant / up to date
- doesn't accept capitalism / patriarchy as root of oppression
- recognises that not all women exploited equally
