Our Beautiful Skin and The Ocean
Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef’s name does it justice as the images of it at it’s full beauty is almost hard to describe in words.
The vast array of colors and shapes in the coral
If you look close enough you can even see the smallest living things just as beautiful as the coral
Now that you can picture this, think of the surface of your skin, its unique pigments and microbiome that make it a part of your body.
Skin Care
Think about how much your skin does for your own health, it protects us from the sun, it keeps us warm and cool, and shapes our own faces.
It is something we all take care of whether we moisturize it, wash it, shave it, massage it. We incorporate treating our skin to keep it healthy almost every day.
This process includes many products, some we are trying our or some we swear by. But how did these products even evolve to what they are today?
Historical background on skincare products
What does our skin need from skincare products
A lot of the moisturizers on the market include in their ads that they are all natural only using whats best for our skin but what is truly best?
What ingredients and products do our sin really benefit from?
However there are a lot of products that have ingredients on their labels that are almost impossible to pronounce. Some of these don’t even serve a purpose in helping our skin.
What I want the reader to get from this paper
I want to specifically share how our skin and the great barrier reef are common in their intricacy and how products we think we are using to our benefit can be impacting one or both.
I want to also show how picking the right skincare to protect your skin can also involve picking the product protecting the environment.
None of us want to harm our skin, so this feeling of newfound awareness for our skin is something the reader should be conscious of as they are reading along.
What ingredients are harming the environment
Parabens, what are they and where are they
What is their specific impact on the environment?
