Thyrotoxicosis - Coggle Diagram

    - - Monitor BP lying, sitting, and standing orthostatic hypotension may occur as a result of excessive peripheral vasodilation
      - Assess pulse and heart rate while patient is sleeping for accurate Tachycardia readings
      - Monitor central venous pressure (CVP), if available that provides cardiac function
      - Monitor temperature; provide cool environment, limit bed linens or clothes, administer tepid sponge baths.
      - Administer Medication and Iv fluids as prescribed to control thyrotoxic effects of tachycardia

    - - Encourage the use of dark glasses to protects exposed cornea
      - Elevate the head of the bed to decrease tissue oedema
      - Administer medication as prescribed e.g antithyroid drugs
    - - Client will maintain moist eye membranes, free of ulcerations.
    - - Oedema is released in the tissues and no pain
