Types of clouds:
Low Clouds:
Stratus

Dense grey low cloud, normally occurs with drizzle.
Cumulus

White, fluffy, “cauliflower” clouds. Occurs during nice weather
Stratocumulus

Rolls of grey clouds, blue sky in between.
Nimbostratus
-
A thick, black layer of cloud. Normally followed by heavy rain and storms.
High Clouds:
Cirrus
-
Forms very high up in the troposphere. They have a wispy appearance. They form on ice crystals high up in the troposphere. They are normally followed by bad weather, normally a cold front.

Vertical Clouds:
Cumilonimbus
-
Probably the most dangerous cloud. It has an extreme vertical height. It normally causes hail, heavy rain, and lighting.
