Basic Principles
1-) Generality and Equality
No one is privileged in any way in education. Equal education is given to everyone, regardless of language, religion, race or gender.
2-) Needs of the Individual and Society
Education service is organized in line with the wishes and abilities of the citizens and their needs.
3-) Orientation
Individuals are brought up in line with their interests and abilities.
4-) Education Right
Primary education is the right of every Turkish citizen. Citizens benefit from the next levels according to their interests and skills.
5-) Equality and Opportunity
Equality of opportunity and opportunity is provided to all men and women in education. Opportunities such as scholarships, loans are provided for successful students in need.
6-) Continuity
The education of individuals is not limited to school, but continues throughout their lives.
7-) Ataturk's Principles and Revolutions and Ataturk's Nationalism
Ataturk's principles, revolution and nationalism are based on every degree and activity of education.
8-) Democracy Education
Democracy awareness, sense of responsibility and respect for moral values are tried to be gained in all educational activities.
9-) Secularism
Secularism is the basis of Turkish national education.
10-) Scientificity
All curricula and tools are based on scientific research and evaluation. Science is essential.
11-) Planning
Education is planned in line with economic, social and cultural developments.
12-) Coeducation
Co-education of boys and girls is essential in schools. However, arrangements can be made according to possibilities and necessities.
13-) Collaboration of Education Camps and School and Family
In case there are more than one educational institution in the same area, an education campus can be established and a management can be formed to meet the needs.
14-) Education Everywhere
Education is tried to be carried out at every opportunity, not only in educational institutions, but also at home, in the workplace.
