Rochester Method: every letter of communication is finger spelled with the hand o the same level of the mouth so the students lipread while reading the finger spelling simultaneously.

SEE I: one sign for one word regardless of its meaning and using words from a sentence to understand its context
SEE II: Similar to SEE I, but chose to use traditional ASL and create signs for pronouns and affixes
LOVE: Linguistic of Visual English, one sign for each printed word with the addition of new signs for plurals and nouns.
PSE: Pidgin Signed English, Using ASL in English word order.

School programs are offering more programs that serve Deaf children and raising awareness and usage of sign so its more common knowledge and accepted.

there were "Generational Gaps" when new signs were introduced to older signers they were often not accepted, and vise versa those children might use signs at home that people dont normally use in school
