Hitler becomes Chancellor
Nazis had become the largest political party by 1932.
in January 1933, conservatives asked President Paul Von Hindenburg to put Hitler into power. Conservatives thought they could use Hitler to do what they wanted.
Hitler called for new elections hoping to get the majority on his side.
A fire destroyed the building they were going to meet up in. The nazis blamed the communists. by getting everyone to fear the communists the Nazis and their allies won.
Hitler turned Germany into a toleration state. He banned all other political parties.
Hitler crated the SS and they were loyal to Hitler. they killed hitlers enemies for him. The creation of the Gestapo shocked the country into obedience.
Hitler put many Germans into jobs and they quickly took control of the economy.

Why might Germans have put their faith in Hitler?
Because they feared that the communists were going to take over and they didn't want to become Russia.
